According to google Remington arms Co is now the Remington outdoors Co owned by the freedom group. Acquired by freedom group just recently.

I just saw somewhere that at the recent show in Las Vegas Remington was sporting the freedom group logo.

Remington Outdoors was conceived in 2015.

Right now the internet is full of speculation, and probalby no one really knows what the fact are.

I doubt that the 700 and the 870 totally disappear. Hopefully whomever resurrects them will be smarter and more concerned about how their money is spent by utilizing management that understands how to make real rifles again.

The name may be new to some , but "Freedom Group" is just an offshoot of Cerebus. A 2011 article............

We can only hope they bring back the original "Classic" line, the original VSSF line, and hey while they're at it a stainless 788 with a walnut stock

I do not really need a Remington 700, but maybe I should buy one, or maybe even a .22. It has been quite a while since I have bought a new Remington 700.
