Just a thought for you before you ship it to Cooper. Coopers are a 3-lug action and as a result have a steeper cam than 2-lug actions, this causes bolt lift to be a bit stiffer than what users of 2-lug actions are used to.
Before shipping it back try this - lube the back of the bolt lugs well, lube the cocking cam ramp and work the bolt a bit to get the lube spread around. Moly grease works very well but if you don't have any then any good bolt lube will work for it.

Tried all the above...…………...It's considerably stiffer than my other Coopers.

Rifle arrived today (3 week turnaround) added the bases, rings and scope this evening......off to the range tomorrow morning
