Default My magazines

Hello again.

No, that wouldn't be fair to the guys that made bids here.

A greedy person would would accept that as an oportunity to set a price higher than what was bid here.

I'll just figure out how to put the mags on EBay, and Who knows? Maybe they'll sell for less than was bidded here.

I forgot to mention that I'm also embarassed, and hope you will all forgive me for acting with my brain out of gear.

No more on this subject from me.

Default Small Caliber Mags

ClipperBill,
No problem, I can easily see missing the rules. When Kenbro was criticized for stating the the truth, by another member, that is when I thought I had too add my 2 cents. You could easily post a price and let the interest be your gauge as to what there're worth. Wishing you luck, however you choose to sell them,
Stan

Default My mags

Hi

I know I promised to say no more on this subject, but while going thru all the monkey motion in getting my mags listed in EBay under 'Books Magazines Back Issues" I found that another person had some SCN's for sale members may be interested in

He offers 4 SCN mags from 2005 and 2006. He requests an opening bid of only $11.98. Mags don't look as nice as mine but are ok.

I'm requesting an opening bid of $25 for my mags.

Now I really have no more to say.

Jim's simple rule is self-explanatory. And it has no connection to what someone else might be doing on E-Bay with a similar product.

Per Jim's post: Must post price with in your ad.
If you would like to have an auction style sale of your item, please list it on an auction type site. The classified section here is for sale of items from members to members.

I think, that being of direct interest to members here you should shoot an e-mail to Bill and ask permission. He very well may allow it.

Default auctions

There is a reason for the rules and it benefits the site. Those mags are worth 5.00-6.00ea give or take a little. Best way to deal with it is to post them at that price and open it to offers.

Bill (Who's Bill?) tells lies, best to ask Monica.

You shouldn't do that! You might find you're bidding against yourself.

Nice job on selling the mags on eBay. When I sell because I need $$ it always goes to an auction and highest bidder.

Other than breaking rules I like what you and the bidders here was doing and can't see why this rule exist.. Maybe someone here can explain why an auction style sale in the classifieds is bad. Probably plain sight but I can't figure it out... TIA for any info

Love those mags, I have the complete set plus duplicates of some issues. I wouldn't let mine go for 5 bucks each... Those and a few other oldies I have are really nice to go back and re-read... For me it is sometimes like reading an article for the first time or getting something new out of it... Wish we still had Todd in magazine business
