SGTG, do you have any AA 2200? IMO, that is by far the best Accurate/Ramshot powder to use in the .221FB. I don't have the data at my fingertips, but will post it if you want it.

Default 221 fb

Thanks for the info.
On AA powder site if you hit - load guide for rifle and handgun - you get version 3.5, no 221FB data.
If you hit Load Data, you get version 6.0, 221FB is there.
Just lucky I guess. Again Thanks sgtg out

Default 2200 loads for 221FB

I would very much like to see data with 40 gr bullets using 2200. I have been using 1680, but have 4lbs of 2200.
Thanks

I would also like to see any data, or better yet, hear about success with 2200 and 40 gr. bullets for 221FB.

I tried it with 50 gr Vmax's with no luck in my CZ.

I've been out of 22oo since getting the VT.
But bought 3 jugs of it and loaded it all in .223's at 23.0 gr w/55's.
Dandy stuff for that one too.

Since 2200 is slower than 1680, just use the 1680 data, you won't overload, especially with 40g. bullets.

As well as 1680 does with 40 grain V-Max's in my CZ I'm done looking . 2200 is slightly slower so it might be ok with heavier bullets but in the charts I see it's about the same burn rate as RL7. RL7 is very accurate in my rifle with 40 V-Max's but significantly slower than 1680 which gives me as good a accuracy and a lot more performance and I'm .3 tenths of a grain back of max in the above chart. Others mileage may vary but my rifle is clear as to what it likes and I know others who have discovered the same results.
For me the .221 is made for the 40 grain V-Max/BlitzKing, for heavier bullets I reach for a bigger case.
Love the .221!
