This rifle was purchased several years ago from Saubier member Mark DeArmond in Texas. Probably one of my most favorite rifles because it is so accurate and fun to shoot.

Stock: MPI thumbhole Varminter, midnight blue metallic w/ 5 coats of clearcoat.
Barrel: Shilen #4 taper , 1:10" finished at 26".
Trigger: Jewell set at 8 ozs. with bottom safety.
Rings: Farley 1 pc. rings/base.
Optics: Leupold Vari-X III , 6.5x20x50mm AO , fine plex reticle.
Load: 12.0 grs N120 , 20 gr VMax 3775 fps .
Gunsmith: Mark DeArmond

michael,

Around 1999 ?? , Mark D. ordered 2 Farley Firefly actions each with the hornet boltface. To my knowledge, these are the only 2 Farley's ever produced with the hornet bf. Not sure where the other action went. My Firefly action is serial No. 20 , and I don't think Jim Farley even makes this action anymore.

When Mark posted this rifle FS several years ago, I jumped on it imediately. I had to sell a few safe queens in the process but have never looked back.

here's a close up of the "coned" hornet boltface.
