Was originally destined to be a .20br, sold most stuff to Alberta AL and Rodbolt..... Wouldn't feed to my satisfaction....
Check it out.... Robertson f-class prone (Special thanks for all the modifications, and great stock work) pac-nor 1:12 supermatch SS 26" long, hs precison detach mag bottom metal, jewel trigger, 5.5X22X56 NPR2 reticle nightforce on tps rings, reamed with dave manson reamer by Rick Timmins @ Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply..... All gunsmithing by Rick @ ATR.... Oh yeah did I forget the repeating Barnard SM action????? So far best groups are with win 760 @ 200m, 1/4 inch centre to centre, 55 gr noslers @ 4080fps.... Fastest is varget @ 4125....same pills, but a little hard on the brass...... http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...barnard013.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...barnard012.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...barnard011.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...barnard010.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...barnard009.jpg Last edited by Brad Toth; 09-25-2007 at 04:32 AM. Nice rifle.
I've seen the Barnard action ads in some old PS mags but this is the first rifle I've seen built with one, pretty gun. What is it chambered in? You state "originally destined to be a .20BR" but not what it is today. |

oops
now its a .22-250 AI.... when this bbl gives up the ghost, maybe a 20-250 is in order........ But it feeds flawlessly now....

Brads rifle
Congrats Brad...over 12 months of wait-time !
Brad had this rifle at my house and I held it and loved the color choice but didnt like the weight. Cant remember what the weight was ... Its got all the bells and whistles on the stock with the light epoxy custom coating on the pistol grip, Anchutz bottom rail, detachable rear swivel stud. This is the same stock that I own on my 20BR and they're "super strong", "well balanced", "pretty" , love mine ! The 22-250 Ackley is an excellent calbre with a wide variety of bullet choices and components that are easy to find. Having a repeater action will surely be helpful since coyotes are always travelling in pairs or more. I'm sure you'll have fun - I need another used NXS ...how much for yours ? Best regards Al |
