Default WTB. Savage 1899 pistol grip butt stock.

I have a nice takedown Savage 1899 lever action rifle that needs a butt stock with a pistol grip.

Either the crescent butt plate or the S-curved stamped sheet metal plate would be ok.

The one on my rifle is cracked & has been shortened with an ugly red pad fitted by some yahoo gun butcher.

It's a long shot, but I thought I'd try to find an old one before fitting new wood.

Regards,
Ron

This place used to have some used stocks, but they moved to KY and haven't been them at shows for a few years.

There are two action inlet lengths mate, not a lot of difference but you need to know which you need.
If you check Boyds they used to show a drawing with measurements.

You just missed one over here it was genuine and NEW came from a deceased state auction in the US and was sent down under.

I'm aware of that, Johno. Mine is a series 3, with a 3" tang & a 5 1/4" draw bolt.

Ron
