Thanks for that Varmint Shooter. Going to give it a try. See how it compares to my use of CFE 223.

FWIW, with 39gr BK's in the 20 tac QL shows N130 and CFE223 to have very similar velocities at the same pressures and N530 to be around 100fps faster.

Thank you. I know the 500 series are faster but harder on barrels and not as stable normally

The only two Viht 500 series I've spend much time with have been the much slower N570 and N565, both of those have been very stable though.

N133 would be the match for XBR. I shot a lot of it in two TAC’s.
That said given the expense , better than both, R10X which is what I shoot now and FWIW the exact powder Todd developed the TAC around.
Same velocity as N133, same accuracy & cheaper.
In my Dakota with 40Vmax’s 25.4gr will go 3915fps out of a 26” bbl.

What makes 10x better then both? Isn’t 10x relatively dirty powder? I can actually get n133 for a bit cheaper then 10x and 8208 hence why I was looking at vihta powders. Like everyone I can’t get any powered but vihta seems to be slightly more reoccurring.

Seeing as you’ve tried them, has 8208, 10x and n-133 all proven to be accurate for you and similar speeds? I’ve heard 10x is generally produces high velocity but 8208 has proven this for me as well. 39’s at 3900-4000fps.

[quote=Matt_3479;302316]Did you ever get a chance to try it with lighter bullets?

My shooting buddy and I both use N133 with the Hornady 24gr NTX in our
20 Tac's. 4100 fps plus, and very accurate.

Okay thank you. I have some of the 24gr ntx but never loaded them. Have 1000 39’s and 500 35’s so was just going stick with those two. Just have to narrow down the powder best for that weight

R10 was dirty, R10X not so. Last time I bought it it was quite a bit cheaper than 133 which I use in my PPC match rifles. If cheaper go with N133.
Frankly I’d also try LT-32 & LT-30 both becoming available at reasonable cost.

Thank you. I will keep an eye out. I was able to find lt30 and 32 but they are actually priced the highest then rl10x then n130, n133, n135 and n140
