Default Imperial sizing lube.......alternative?

Someone in a post a couple of months back.....maybe.....DID mention some sort of slick'em, and I think it was car wax related, that he used to size / make small er brass for a serious shoulder set back.

I've tried Acc Shooter but no joy yet. I just can't remember where I read it.

Anyone?

Brad, at CRT has a new lube that you apply like Imperial wax. Specifically talks about forming brass in the description. If it is as good as everything else he sells, it should be a winner. I have not tried it but, I will.

+2 on the Hornady Unique. I recently necked 300 cases down one step too far and tried Unique to lube the inside of the neck to open back up. It required too much pressure I was afraid I'd buckle the shoulder. I recently got Hornady One Shot Case Sizing Wax, it's tacky but greatly reduced the effort needed to open up the necks. As a first WAG, it's good stuff.

A yr or two ago I ordered Imperial from Midway I think it was.
They sent the Hornady brand. Got two cans of it, should last til I'm finished loading. Works great, sure looks to be the same as Imperial other than the can. Whole lot cheaper and less messy than spray's of any brand/kind imo.

Another plus for Hornady Unique. I like it far better than anything I've ever tried, including Imperial. A small tub lasts forever and it never dries out or gets crusty.

Supposedly its nothing but mink oil. ???

I use an old RCBS lube pad with the RCBS II case lube. It is water based, wipes right off, and does a better job of lubing than Imperial ever did. And much faster to lube, lay 10-15 cases on the pad, roll them back and forth a couple times, and go.

I also use the RCBS II with good results. I like the water cleanup, as I use an ultrasonic.

Is The Hornady stuff water soluble ?
