22 TCM Powder
Anyone try this yet? I have a pound on order as well as a pound of their new TCM powder.
This stuff is a tad slower than 4100. It falls like this #9 TCM - 2400 4100 - Enforcer 11FS - 296/H-110 http://www.accuratepowder.com/wp-con..._data_11FS.pdf This is in Rob’s latest load manual. I’m pretty sure it’s the exact same powder as the factory loaded ammo. http://www.accuratepowder.com/wp-con...d_data_TCM.pdf

Gary, if you want "slow-ish" loads, there are a whole bunch of powders you can try. If you want velocity above and beyond anything else, use LilGun. Everything I loaded is for a Savage, don't know what kind of pressures a RIA rifle will tolerate. Can share what I tried if you wish.

I am in process of loading Lil’Gun for the 1911 Target, not so much for speed in it but I have read that Lil’Gun has less noise and MF. Thought I better find out.
That said I thought it’d be nice to try out both the new TCM and 11FS powders in both the rifle and pistol. Then maybe play with both of those powders in the tiny 17&20 calibers? The 11FS looks pretty good in the 44 and 357 Mag. And yes I’d take any load data you’d like to share, When I get the rifle back, the powders and start loading, I will post here in the load data.

Gary my experience with the 22 hornet is that lilgun is much lowder then 296. I believe there was a healthy velocity increase that it could be contributed to. But it took my hornet with 296 sounding like a hot 22 lr up to a true centerfire 22 sounding cartridge with lilgun. Just a thought

well, shoot! Those internet experts got me. again. I was kind of hoping that they was on to something. I very much enjoy shooting the 1911 TCM but the fireball and noise is a turn off.

If you have the powder would be worth a try. I guess it could react differently in 9mm then .224 if you didn't have the powder and found yourself in upstate NY drop on by to borrow some.

I plan on it and yes I keep a good stash of lilgun because I use it in one of my 218 Bees.

Shot the 22 TCM with Lilgun and it actually did have less muzzle flash and the muzzle wasn’t an excessively loud report like my 296 loads.
9 to 9.4 grains was nice shooting loads but somewhere around 9.5 to 9.6, I could start feeling a little more recoil and the WSP primers looked funky from around 9.5 on up to 10.0 grs. Wasn’t shooting for accuracy but I was hitting the smaller targets more consistently from. 9.4 to 10.0. The lighter loads shot more like the 296 loads (not nearly the consistent hits). I’ll be playing around some more with Lilgun and compare it to TCM and 11FS. Also shot the 22 Jet and decided to try Lilgun in it as well as maybe these two newer TCM powder. (I told the guy at the store I wasn’t in a hurry for the powder but I’m hoping they both show up soon! Started getting ready for loading more 357 Sig this evening and was wondering if TCM and 11FS would work in it? Probably too slow my guess since they are slower than AA#9 (fills the case plum full).

Tried the small rifle primers today and they lookjust like the SPP.
Edit: today I tried the 6-1/2 and 7-1/2 primers, they done the same but the 7-1/2s looked better (meaning they had a small dent from the firing pin strike). Was told maybe a weak FP spring? Edit: 5/13/18 Removed the FP, cleaned and lubed and the primers are looking more normal again. They still appear to have a light strike but at least there is s dimple in them now. Glad it wasn’t a load issue. Also shot it about 30 rounds loaded up with 11FS at an 8” steel target at 50 yards. First shot I aimed high and shot over it. Second shot aimed low and shot low. Third shot I aimed center of the steel and kept banging it over with only 4 other miss and the last 3 were missed. It might have been me and my hunting shoulders?(Most shots hit below center of target). I was extremely pleased with how it shot and handled. Some evening this week I’m going to get a photo of a factory fireball shot and then compare it to AA 11FS. Later afternoon and in the shade, it didn’t appear to have a fireball with the 11FS powder.
