Maybe not small enough a caliber
If 6mm is not an appropriate caliber for this forum, I'll gladly pull this post.

I probably shoot more 6mm's than anything else. Mostly 6mm dashers. I've got 4 of them Also have/had 6x45, 6-47Lapua , and a few 243's. Building a 6-284 too. Is your's a prone gun or a BR gun?

The only way that gun could get better is if it was in 6.5mm pushing 140 gr bullets. better wind deflection higher BC. But that's my bias. I to have gotten away from large magnum cases. Settled on a medium size case and bore for all of my needs bigger then varmints.

Harold, I know you are looking for information (aren't we all) but, I have a question for you. Tell me more about your 'coned' bolt face. I have not come across this before, unless by another term. TIA

Harold are you modifying the factory bolt by cutting a chamfer to the front of the lugs or are you using Kiff cone nose bolt? When I took Jerrys class on chambering at Rochester back in the mid 70's he told us it was possible to cut a 30* chamfer to a factory bolt and cut the same angle in the breech of the barrel. I just never seen it in person. If you did, could you show the bolt nose, I'd like to compare it to what he drew out for us. Thanks
