Default 14 caliber loads

Hello everyone. New member here.

I just picked up a couple of barrels for my contender. One is a 14 walker hornet and the other is in 14/221 walker. Going to be ordering dies and components soon. Looking for any loading information I can get. Probably going to use the 12 or 15 grainers for Reed's. Interested in what powders work best in this caliber.

All help getting me started we be appreciated. Thanks

Default Killer bee

My killer bee likes Accurate Arms 2520 with the 15 grain bullet and Accurate Arms 2460 with the 10 grain bullet going at 4600 fps !

My killer bee is between your 14 hornet and your 14-221.

Use caution as the subcalibers are touchy as the pressure goes up during load development.

Thanks John.

I think I will start loading for the 14/221 first. I shoot a 14 inch barrel 22 hornet now so I know how finicky the hornet brass can be. Can't wait is sit down and get an order into Reed's to get things started.

I have assembled an Excel spreadsheet containing 14/221 loads gathered around the web and over the years. It includes Bill Eichelberger's data. If you would like a copy PM your email address to me.
