Here is a link to a forum thread over at RFC discussing the Hatsan Escort as well as the Zastava CZ99. https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forum...=hatsan+escort

Default Escort?

These are available in Australia. To be brief.
You get what you pay for!
It appears over the last few years from the major manufacturers, cheaper models come out just to keep sales ticking over.
If people maybe just saved a bit more, to buy some thing better, this spiral to the bottom could be halted.
It's a race to the bottom.
My 2 cents worth. (No pun intended!)

They were the Buzz for a short while on RFC but as said the "get what you pay for" truth finally kicked in, from the one I've handled I determined that the old Norinco JW 15's worst examples are a better put together copy of the CZ/Brno style rifles.

My wording wasn’t written very well

They seem so cheap and I know you get what you pay for but that’s unbelievable.

IF you're LUCKY you get what you paid for.

Sure a lot of drop to that stock.

How many did you buy Gary?

Vances often runs a special on these. $169.99. I’m thinking of taking my bore scope along and go take a look at one. The stories I’ve read about off center chambers would turn a shooter into a pretty mantle ornament very quickly. That I don’t need. A decent open sight rifle I do need. I love to tinker (think Zastava CZ 99) but I draw the line at having to rebarrel. Looking for a CZ would really be a smarter move but that diamond in the rough attraction is strong.
