dungheap, I have indeed reached "Geezerhood" and I'm enjoying every minute of it!

Screaminweasil, I saw my first gophers topside just yesterday (really, ask Stevo I called him when I seen em). Soon Skippy, very soon, Heh-Heh-Heh!

Rick, you couldn't be more right about that birthday gun! As it just so happens another of the incredible friends I have made on this site (much like yourself), made me an offer I just couldn't refuse (and no, Luca Brassi didn't deliver it if ya ever seen "The Godfather") wink-wink. Didn't have to, that dear friend telling me the offer tipped me right over (weak willed and impulse challenged as I am).
What is it you ask?

It was in response to my thread asking what you guys thought a short stocked CZ converted to .17 MachIV would be worth. He emailed me out of the blue, "CZ, what CZ?". I was blown away but shouldn't have been cause as long as he and I have been friends it's exactly what I'd expect from him. This site has taught me and given me a lot more then just knowledge about sub .22 caliber firearms. The firearm info has been life altering, "really" (supplanted all other hobbies except and occasional fishing trip)! The friendships, "Priceless"!!
As to the offer as compared to an overhauled, short pull CZ, which one would you take? Did I mention it's an early Cooper .17 MachIV offering? Not shot much, Shilen barrel, Jewel trigger, came with a 6.5X20X40 Vari-XIII Leupold I haven't gotten mounted yet....obviously.

Gratuitous and redundant scenery shot not needed but beats the wall shot in the gun-room.

To say I'm ecstatic is a massive understatement!! I am truly Blessed and Very grateful this Birthday. Thanks for all the kind words guys you fellas are the greatest!

P.S.
Can you guys believe that my good friend Stevo and I actually have the same birthday??? Good Lord has to have a sense of humor!

Default Jewel trigger

Doug,

Does the Jewel trigger on your M21 look like it can be swapped to another Cooper or is it mounted differently than the standard Cooper trigger?

From what I have seen, the Jewel triggers seem to be mounted to the receivers differently. Just wondered if yours is the same.

BTW, Happy Birthday!

Sounds like you're still living right Doug.
still around after ALL these years and still
spending money on more guns you don't need.
Rider told me awhile back that investing in guns
is better than gold n silver any day. After watching
n sweating the prices up n down for the past six yrs
I tend to believe him now.

Happy birthday old man!

Well I was not so lucky as you Doug. A Cooper was not in the stars for this B Day. But I did get something that means more to me than 1000 Coopers.

This was given to me from my Mother (yes Mom is still with us and in good health). It is the Gold Pocket Watch my Grandfather got when he retired from Express. Circa 1923 it is an Elgin (Walther Cased) Pocket Watch.
