Default Opening up the new season

Went to my favorite GH farm yesterday evening. Opened the season by taking the first one of the year with the 20 Var-Targ at 185 Yds.

I have had 5-6 out back taunting me for weeks now, but they're not bothering anything...yet. Trigger finger is getting itchy. Might have to sick Lillie on them.

I got out Sunday for about an hour on the first hunt of the season. Saw three but only managed to get off one shot with my new Contender barrel in 17 Squirrel but was able to connect on a young'en at around 75 yards.
Seems to me that the vegetation is up higher this year than in the past years but it has been a wet spring here in Kentucky.

I have a young family on the edge of my property. I would have to shoot from my neighbors land in order to get a safe shot. He's new here and just planted a garden a short stroll from the den. Meeting him for the first time he was wearing a Trump 2020 hat so either I'll lend him his choice of weapon or do it myself.

Default Chucks

I have been out a few times this spring. Not keeping really good numbers but have shot about 225.

Shot this unique black youngster and two others that were black the last time out.

That would almost be worth having it mounted and displayed.

Default Splash 45 more

I killed another 45 last Saturday. Changed things up and used some rifles that had not been out of the safe for a while.

It was cool and windy (15-25 mph) and my hit miss ratio was off with one of my rifles. Took the rifle to the range and as expected it was shooting 1.65" off to the right at 100.

Longest shot of the day 365 yards with a RR AR 223 shooting 40 grain ballistic tips at 3750fps.

Shot some really big grey faced old timers! Three large males in the picture next to a size 12 boot.

How is that possible? You are talking about Ground Hogs right. Where I live, after the hay is cut, you have about 3 weeks until the grass is too high to see them anymore
