Finally got out to the range with the 17 AH and the chronograph.
11.2 grs. of IMR 4227 along with a Fed 205M and a 15.5 NTX= an average velocity of 3866 with a SD of 32.0, and no signs of pressure.
In addition it turned in a 7 shot group in the 2s. Why 7 shots? and the answer is that I was afraid of going any further for fear of screwing up a perfectly good target. 15.5 gr. NTXs along with 4227 is is an amazing combination in the 17AH.

You older guys have heard about me blowing up a rifle with just
.1 more powder in a .17 VR case. Believe it was H110 though.
Re: 10.1 ten shots fine, 10.2 blew it up. AND no sign of pressure at 10.1

Be damned careful with these little cases. it don't take much to be
TOO much. Then it's TOO LATE.
