22-204, wouldn't that be a 222 rem mag?

No its not the same cartridge. 22-204 has more capacity than a 222 mag with body taper blown out and shoulder moved forward. It will do close to 22-250 speed with 29-29.5 gr of powder. I run 53 vmax at 3700 fps!

Always thought the 204 R was made by necking down the 222 Rem Mag.
Your 20-204 must be just a 22 Rem Mag or 204R case with a improved shoulder, to make some what more capacity in the case. But how much more ? Have you measured and given capacity of both ?

204 ruger is made from a 222 mag case with shoulder blown forward and body taper blown out. My 22-204 is just a 204 necked up to 22 caliber. The 204 and 22-204 both have more capacity than a standard 222 mag.

22-204 holds 1.5 plus grains of powder than the 222 mag

53 and 55 grain bullets out of the 22-204 will be 3650-3700 fps easy with no pressure signs in a 24 inch barrel

How did you arrive at those velocities? Chrony or computer program?

Just curious.
