I have, will dig up thru my records, did quite a bit of shooting in the summer and spring with it, 17-30 grainers.

I have played with it a lot in the 17 FB. It works well with the 30 grain bullets, not as well with the lighter stuff. Accuracy is still fine but velocity is well below where I can get it with Benchmark. With the 30 grain bullets I get top velocity and great accuracy. I believe it is too slow for the lighter bullets in the 17 FB so I would think it should work great in the 17 TAC. I know my 204 Ruger loves the stuff.
(There are detailed posts here in the load forum on my results with both rounds.) http://www.saubier.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14551 http://www.saubier.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13324 Last edited by Dean2; 12-24-2012 at 11:45 AM. |

I am with Dean. Have had good success in the 17FB with 25gr bullets. It is worth a try and if it does not work out it has application in a wide variety of other rounds.
