Default 1:10 tw in a 20vt

Any data on a 20 VT with a 1:10 twist? I would go with a 1:11 but the wait is a long time. Will the 1:10 shoot 32 grainers with accuracy? I know it Will more than likely shoot the 39s and 40s. Or should I just do the standard 1:12? The rifle is already where it's getting done and they asked about the 1:10 and if I would be interested in it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If it was my choice I would go with a 1:10

Will the 1:10 stabilize the 32s? How much will velocity be affected?

Thanks

What will stabilise a lot will stabilise a little.
You might lose bit of speed and gain a bit of explosiveness.

I shoot a Cooper 20VT 1/12" twist . Stabilizes 35 Bergers fine, but prefer 32 sbk on squirrels as much more explosive. Both bullets are shooting in the 2s to 3s at 100yds at around 3750 fps using H4198 22" barrel.

I currently have a 1:12 twist on my VT. And it shoots 32s extremely well, however the 39s are not that great. Where the work is being done they basically asked if I would want a 1:10...

My 20 TAC is a 1-10 PacNor. Shoots 32 and 40's equally as well. Prefer 40's for longer ranges, 250 and more.

I don't think a Vartag can get them fast enough to blow up no matter what twist you use, so I think 10, 11, or 12 would mostly all be the same for you. Larry

Default 1 in 10 twist rate

I have a 1 in 9 in my TAC 20 that has shot 32 Blitzkings into .184 at 4184 fps. Maybe a 1 in 10 would have shot faster or more accurately

My 20 PPC shoots 32 grain Vmaxs very well with a 9" twist Lilja barrel. I would not hesitate on a 10" twist.
