If you use someone else's gauge that was probably made when their barrel was made, won't necessarily work with your chamber.

Here is an easy way to do it: Sizing & Headspacing

If you have a barrel made up, the manufacturer will also make you a gauge at the same time the chamber is cut with the same reamer.

I need a go gauge to set head space, not a case gauge.

You can set the headspace with a 221 FB go gauge also.

Not by what reamer specs and case drawings I have seen, datum line is different.
If it was simply 20-221, then the 221 would work. I tossed this subject back and forth like a tennis match with several folks that had to be of the other. There is not enough difference in the two to argue over. The only thing is the label, 20 Vartarg. Lol, I was informed by both 20-221 and 20VT owners, there are those that own one, and those that want one.

I went with the VT because the turn around time for this was quicker than the 20-221.

My mistake. I read it too fast.

PTG can make you a set up if your willing to wait for several months.

Thanks gents. I will make a note of who has one and contact you when I get the barrel. I am just trying to stay ahead on what I need for this project. I got lucky and procured brass and a FL bushing die. My 6BR brass just arrived for my 20BR project as well.
