Default Got the call from Kevin Weaver yesterday......

Yes, my new 204 is on the way! Kevin sent me some photos and a photo of the target. Defiance Tenacity action, nitrided, Jewell trigger, Lilja 3 groove, 11 twist, #5 24" bbl, threaded for can, HS Varmint stock, HS detachable mag bottom metal, .229 neck, zero freebore, Talley rings, just told Kevin to build it like he would for himself. The first 3 shots in the test target were literally sub .100, 4th shot went wild at about 1/4" out. Kevin was cleaning between shots, about 10 15 min between shots, creating cold bbl condition for each shot.

UPS is scheduled to deliver Friday....was pretty calm about the whole thing since initiating the the order back in late April, but now the "calm" is gone!!! I can't wait to get my hands on this thing! Will post some photos when I actually get it, if I can figure out how to do photos. Got some of Rob Robinett's 40gr bullets a while back, and they are the best looking bullets I have ever seen, bar none. Very anxious to get a load worked up in time for crows in November!
Thanks to all you guys who offered advice on what and how do this build!
Steve

You will love the BIB's, both on targets and critters. The Berger 40 bt is pretty good also, I run a 10 twist.

Rifle is scheduled to arrive sometime next week. I will post pictures then. Most of my shooting is crows....it's a bit heavy for a rifle to walk with. That's the only thing Kevin found not to his preference, but we're shooting out the window of a truck most of the time, and about 30 years ago we discovered that the heavy bbls were more stable for that use....off the bench, no discernable difference on paper between the sporter wt bbls and the heavier ones. Hit ratio went up about 4 times when we switched to heavier bbls.
