I have rifles chambered in 17 Hornet, 22 Hornet, 17 Fireball, 221 Fireball, and 17 Remington for my walking varminters/small game guns. I know I have alot of overlap and I am trying to justify keeping them, but I may send some down the road. Let's hear some opinions on what to keep and what to sell.

Unless you need the money or don't use them I wouldn't sell any of them.

Unless you really want to thin the larder or need to sell.
I would say no, keep them all, for now anyway, the way things are going. ![]() |

I just sold my 204 for more than double what I had into it. It got me to thinking about letting a few more go while it is a seller’s market.

The 17 Rem should bring good resale coin. Depends what you have invested I guess.

I have a Cooper 38 Varminter in 20 VT. That is why I sold my Cooper 21 in 204 Ruger. I didn’t include it in my list because it is a little heavy to be a walking varmint rifle. I have thought if I don’t love the 17 Fireball or the 221 Fireball I could easily turn them into a 20 VT walking varminter.

I agree. That chambering holds its value.
