Default Loads for 32-20 WCF

I'm getting a new Marlin 1894 CL chambered in 32-20 WCF .
I picked up a redding die set and a crimp die, starline 32-20 WCF brass , I have an assortment of primers, powder , 85gr, 90gr., 100gr, 115 gr. Lead bullets as I already load for .32 S&W, 32 H&R, 327 fed .
Does anyone have this rifle who has work up loads..what combination worked best for you.
Thanks.

Go to marlinowners.com , there's threads on 32-20 and 25-20. Both are great reads.

Well I've been all over the internet and picked up so load data..would any care to share there favorite 32-20 load for a rifle..
Thanks guys..
I realize there are other forums for cowboy cartridge Shooting..but the 32-20 is definitely a cool little cartridge..I can already envision my self sitting at the range with some shooting sticks messing around with this cartridge/ rifle combination waiting for my fireball barrel to cool..
What a change..I use to be so into the latest , fastest, magnum rifles..after a few years of rattling my brain loose ..I just can't get enough of small cartridges..there alot more fun to reload and shoot..

Default Loads for 32-20 wcf

You might check out a few of the Cowboy shooter sites, or SASS site, as some no doubt shoot the round in the rifle portion. One of there forums surely discuss loads for that round. Bill K

For plain base lead 100g - 120g Unique is GREAT! Start about 4.2-4.5g and max at 5.5g. I like unique for loads, but it meters terrible. If you are throwing the charges you'll want to do a triple or quad tap when you throw it. On the other hand, HP-38/W231 and Tightgroup are also great and they meter wonderful. HP-38 start at 3.0 and watch for leading at 3.5. For TightGroup start at 2.7 and watch for leading at 3.2.

These are all low velocity loads for plain base bullets and should give you a great starting point. They are all low pressure and safe for all firearms. Your Marlin will handle much higher pressure loads for hunting, but for the range these loads will get you with little groups and are great for hunting small game.

I think Accurate powders list some of the old HV loads towards the back of their manual.
I have been shooting 32-20/30-20 since about 1985. Most all of mine are taylored around a TC or BF platform. It is a dandy cartridge.
It can and will do what any of the 30x221 flavors will do, in a modern gun of course.
