My order arrived yesterday. Still cannot believe the deal on those 40 grain Nosler BT's. I'm going to load some up today to test this weekend. I am really struggling to get my hornet to shoot to my liking. Best so far is about .6" @ 100 yds with 35 grain vmax. It won't shoot the 40's as well as I'd like. Maybe these Nosler's will be the ticket. I do have a crimp die now, so I'm gonna try that out as well.

I couldn't pass up the Nosler 40 bt, grabbed 1000. Will probably give my BIL a box.

20VarTarg, note that the 40BT is longer than a 40VMAX. Depending on your Hornet's twist rate and loading, that may make a difference in accuracy. The 40BTs seem to work fine for 221FB and 223Rem in my rifles. Hope this helps.

Well, I finally got my bullets today, only problem is that there were only 2 of the 20 boxes I ordered. When I ordered, their system showed 259 boxes still in stock so it's hard to understand the shortage. 3rd generation won't make it good, but they did refund my money and let me keep the 2 boxes. Not happy, but oh well.

My hornet is a 14 twist. Nosler book says a 14 will stabilize them. Guess I will find out tomorrow when I test them out. If they don't work, they will work great in my 218 Mashburn Bee, or the 223. At the price we got them for I will find something that will shoot them. Should have bought 10,000 of them.
