Default .223 short SBR

I finally got to shoot my .223 short SBR for the first time this morning and thought i'd show my findings.

I was hoping to achieve 2300 ft/sec from a 5.5" barrel. to my surprise I got 2779 ft/sec avg with a 40gr armscor bullet from a 6" barrel. i'm speachless to say the least. for comparison the same load does 3264avg from a 18" barrel.

i'm going to borrow my cousin's lab radar to confirm velocities but in the past mine has tracked close enough to give a ballpark figure.

here's a picture of the rig as tested. still need to open the gas port and make the mag adapter for ppsh 43 mags.
