Default Local customer scores on Elk!

Local customer went on a wilderness elk hunt a few weeks ago. He sent me these today. He said the grizzlies were so thick that they had to sleep with firearms loaded. Said they got charged a few times but he pulled out a nice big old bull. 561yds right in the shoulder. The rifle is a 300wm with an X-caliber 27" barrel.

Nice bull. That was one looooooong shot, but he apparently hit it in a vital spot. Good for him. Glad I didn't have to help him drag it out.

A fella from Dougs neck of the woods (Boseman) was mauled twice scouting for Elk pre season. He survived somehow..
