Default High Plains 17 FB brass

Just received 100 17 FB brass in the mail today, from High Plains brass.

I'm very pleased with the brass. As always you want to sort through, and throw out any with flaws. They start with once fired LC brass. Mine were 04 and 05 dated. I ended up with 102, that made the grade.
Nice and clean, and for the money, I can see I'm going to go back for more!

I will trim, turn, and anneal.

I'd advise anyone looking for this hard to find brass, to give these guys a call. They were very accommodating, and reasonable !

They also make 17 Rem, 20 Vartag , and 221 FB from once fired LC brass.

I am using their 17rem brass, you will throw a few out. But they shoot well, obviously the case capacity is slightly less then remington commercial brass. If I order more I will probably get untrimmed and process it myself.

They throw in extra, as they anticipate a few wrinkles in the neck shoulder area.
I believe there was 111 pieces, and I sorted out 9, because flaws.

I haven't primed any, but I did look at the primer pockets. I've swaged a lot of military brass, and these didn't look excessive !
I used a lot of Tulammo primers. Their Magnums seem a little tighter in the pockets. So If I have troubles, I'll use them.

I will trim, turn, and anneal, before priming and loading.
