Default Hi! I'ma New Guy

Oregon guy, East side. Thanks for letting me in. I've been hanging around on the Accurate Shooter Forum, and recognize a few names from there - I think.

I've got some rifles that pretty much conform to this type of forum. A 218 Bee, 222 Rem, 22 BR, and soon to receive a 20-222 Remage barrel to screw onto the 222.

I'd like to learn anything I can, and share anything I can. I'm laid up right now with a pretty nasty busted foot, so I've got some time to kill, and these forums have been a insanity prevention. The Face-Book aint cutting it.

Thanks for letting me hang. jd

Welcome.
The Oregon East side. That's where RIO says 'Common sense still prevails'.
If you busted your foot by falling off your wallet, it won't happen again after spending some time here! These guys will make your wallet very thin, in short order.
Ken.

Default Welcome

Welcome JD! I think you will find this one of the better shooting sites to hang out on. Lots of info and very minimal internet drama here. I can relate to the busted foot misery, still have three screws in my left foot. Tons and tons on info to kick around here, you will chew up lots of time going through old threads.

Welcome, JD! Hope you enjoy your time on here and stay with us.

There's a real interesting thread on here, search 20-222 Plain Jane. Lots of info there and helped me a lot with loading for minel.

I didn't see any .17s on your caliber list -- yet.

Welcome JD.. Your rifles fit right into this site. Decent folks here and plenty of good information, hope to see your additions and all. Eastern Oregon in a good area, and you have cohorts hanging around that area, that also use the site. Bill K

Thanks for the kind welcome. I'll indeed be searching and digging to find info concerning this Plain Jane that I'm putting together.

Details on it are -- PacNor 24", 11/1 barrel, #6 sporter contour, threaded for a nut. I'm going to put it on the Rem 700 action that now wears a 222 barrel. I don't want to get out of the 222 business, but this poor barrel is finally at the end of it's run.

I imagine that if I have good luck with this nut thing, there will be another barrel on the way in my future. jd
