Default Sako Quad Varmint

stopped by my LGS a few days ago to buy a hardcase to ship a rifle in, one of the managers asked if I had my Checkbook with me, should have know I was in trouble right then. He brings out a the afore mentioned rifle barreled in .17hmr with a still in the wrap .22lr barrel, three .17hmr magazines, two .22lr magazine and topped with a Nikon Prostaff 5 3.5-14x side focus. They hadn't even priced it yet, on consignment from a gentleman I'd known for many years who passed from Cancer a few months ago. I knew it had been cared for and in fact had likely hardly ever been used. Examination showed the same, a bit of Carbon on the bolt face being the only sign of use.

Dark stain hides a nice amount of figure.

I foolishly sold a very nice P94S Varmint several years ago, I hope this Varmint shoots as well.

Thanks, I've got a Sightron STAC 4-20x 30mm tube with MOA2 reticle coming for it, nothing like a little over kill when it comes to scopes, the Nikon will make a good Big Game scope for something.

When you start shooting it, let us know if the 10 round magazines feed. They are not getting good reviews for feeding more than 7-8 rounds.
