OT: Access Denied using NordVPN
I recently subscribed to NordVPN for security reasons. For a week or so, no issues whatsoever, I was able to access all the sites I normally visit, including here and Accurate Shooter.
But yesterday and today, my access to Accurate Shooter has been denied, saying no access allowed from "my country", despite the fact that I'm connected to a server in the USA. Anyone have anything to suggest or have had a similar experience with NordVPN or other providers?

OT: Access denied using NordVPN
Rick if I could have offered any help on this, I sure would have, but I barely get by being PC illiterate. However I will add that I have had no issues with Accurate shooter pulling it up and all. Bill K

Sorry I can't be of more help. Dave PS: After posting above I did some VPN testing. I use Opera as my browser & I turned on the built in VPN. I was able to navigate all my sites with no problems. Every once in a while I've had a problem but usually trying to access some oddball site. I also tried connecting through an anonymizer which is just a free VPN & it worked fine also. It must be one of your settings is the problem. If you are worried about your security & privacy I suggest you use Opera browser & turn on VPN. It is free. Use DuckDuckGo for your search engine instead of Google. Tell Opera to turn off ad's & your access will ZOOM! Last edited by pertnear; 10-09-2018 at 01:24 PM. Reason: added PS: |

Rick, A VPN changes your IP address what other sites your logging into recoginize. Look at your IP address and see it could be its showing a different country.

I don't play changing to those things.
It's all I can figure out just turning the damned thing on. IF it don't work like it's supposed to then, I'm totally lost with these toys. Shucks, I've been fighting hammers that bite back for years. Hope you get it figured out.

If the VPN routes through certain countries, mostly eastern European and African, your "request" will be blocked. I suspect that's what happening.

+1, check whatsmyip and then find where that IP originates from. Also check IP against stopforumspam.com as some sites use a plugin that will block those IPs.
