Went to a local gun auction yesterday. Should have stayed home or left before the auction started. 7 more added to the mounting pile. Guessing that several may find a different home after I determine that I really don't need them. Actually quite proud that I didn't end up with 5 or 6 more.

You need to either stay home or leave your card & check book behind.

Guns will over populate by themselves, we don't need to help 'em.

SO: what did you haul home?

Quite a variety. A couple collector Henrys, a few odd shotguns, a model 7 in a 260 Remington and one handgun. The sale was kind of a train wreck for the sellers. Too many guns and not enough buyers. A lot of stuff was 50 to 60% of value. Kind of like being a kid in a candy store. Actually exercised a fair amount of restraint given the situation. These deals don't happen very often.

I passed on Savage model 12 in a 204 towards the end of the sale. Either NIB or very few rounds with a cheap scope for $500. I thought about it but decided that I had enough 204s around already.

Most of the time we're broke when things show up way too cheap
and we miss out.
Rare times when we're flush when it happens, then we end up broke
anyway.

Glad you got in on the deals when you could.
