Default 39gr BK and Varget

Has anyone done any work with this combo in a 20P? I've just started playing with it and I'm pretty pleased with the groups I'm getting, but my Chrono says I'm only getting 3200-3250 from 24.5gr and a 20inch barrel. I was hoping for more like 35-3600. Maybe that's wishful thinking but I'm just wondering how far to push it.

For that application Varget won't really be your best choice if you want velocities in that range. Give H322 a try and it'll get you much closer to what you're looking for and should get you close to or maybe into the low 3500's but 3600 from a 20in barrel in a 20Prac. may be a bit of a stretch without standing on it pretty hard.

Also try Benchmark and a case full of H4895, then there are several ball powders, too.
