Just one word of caution on using a inside action wrench on a 527 trying to take of a Factory barrel, CZ uses loctite and you could twist a action if your not careful.

I would never use a bolt lug action wrench to remove any factory barrel. Especially on a 527...Just to easy to twist the action. These wrenches are usually used for Switch barrel rifles where the barrels are no way near as tight as a factory barrel....JMO

CW:
Next time you order a barrel.
Have THEM do the threading and save lot's of problems.
These guys with their replies KNOW this stuff from years
of doing it. If it's not too late, stop your man from doing it
that way.

Good luck, sounds like a dandy idea, hope it turns out as it should.
By the way, where you from? Be nice to see that info in your header.
Thanks

I use a 3" X 1" wide disc with a inside cut to fit the front of the action
on the CZ 527.

I can put a large wrench on it and break loose any barrel.

If I get some energy back I'll cut out a few for sale/ I'll let you know. Kenny

George

How do they know how long to cut the threads and how deep to cut the chamber without the action in hand ?

They don't.

If they would cut the chamber a few thousand long instead of short it would be a lot easier to set headspace.
I think they do not want the responsibility of the chamber.
Cutting the chamber short, you have to rent or buy a reamer and gauges, if you use them.
I partial thread @ 20 per inch and finish threading with a special order Metric die untill I get the fit I like.
When I go that die is going to be for sale for what I paid for it $150.
My Dr. Just told me the new chemo, I started a month ago is working, so you may have to wait a while Ha Ha.
