LOL,,,, No, I put the shotgun in the camper in a soft case laying flat, or so I thought, but it was actually resting on the end of the barrel and the end of the stock. When my 110lb Lab laid on it, it snapped the stock at the wrist like kindling.
I told the lady at Ruger what happened, and just wanted to know what it would cost to get a new stock fit to my receiver. She gave me a price and then said, "write a note explaining what happened and send it in. They just might warranty it, but no promises". Sure enough, a couple weeks later I got it back with an invoice for ZERO.

Oh,,, and just so ya know, I don't have to beat any of my dogs with gun stocks.

They actually like to go hunting.

Default My Dad's Ithaca

Good looking dogs! I remember when I was little guy watching my Dad put his Double Barrel Ithaca stock between our bird dog and another dog we ran into while hunting Quail. His dog liked to fight and jumped another bird dog. Mt Dad lifted those two dogs off the ground with his butt stock trying to separate those dogs.
Unfortunately the Ithaca stock got twisted and required going back to get repaired.
He still has that great shotgun!
