Default Remington Primer Update

Quote:
Thank you and we will pay for two bolts and send you some new primers when you send us the invoice on your guns.

Sandra
This is the latest email I received from them. I gave them a primer count and made it clear there were 3 bolts. Now I'm waiting for them to agree to paying for the repair of 3 bolts. So far they have been pretty easy to deal with, at least by email.

I'm holding out on the 3 bolts since it wasn't something I caused. It was their primers that flame etched them.

Good for you! They sure weren't as easy to get along with a few years back. Glad they are doing right by ya.

Unlike days of old, companies are realising that customer service is as important as a good product. With instant access to product reviews via internet a list of bad customer support reviews will loose them alot of money and customers.

Actually while I'm sure those attributes play a part I'm thinking it's your deep sense of Humility that wins the day, has to be .

Humility?? Oh, yes, that was what I meant.

Remington has now agreed to fix all 3 bolts and replace the primers.

Oh Greg!!! I need an invoice please.

"BINGO."
Congrats my man! Looks like Remington is trying to knock some of the tarnish off their reputation.
They are going about it in the right way it seems .

Yes. I concur. The have been very easy to work with so far.
Greg (Gre' Tan) said that he needed to add bushing to all three of the bolts. I know my ignorance is showing, but how does that fix the flame etching that the primers did?

He's probably either talking "bushing the bolt" or "repairing the bolt face". He can explain it a lot better than I can. I'm a shooter and a reloader period he's an amazing smith .

I do wish you the best on getting this settled but, DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH
until it's done!
Hand in there with this Sandra though.
