True Foxhunter. However Dick's and a few others should also think ahead and realize that those of us that buy firearms or would from them, also buy clothing, footwear, fishing items, etc. etc. so when they condemn us firearm owners and stop selling for their misguided thinking on gun violence, they loose those sale also, when we ban their store/s. I used to buy a lot of fishing stuff, sporting goods for the kids and grandkids, and hunting stuff but not anymore. Multiply that by tens of thousands of consumers. Yeah, it's definitely hurting them. Their same store sales are down but income is up. That dynamic will run out sooner or later and then the chickens will come home to roost. Once you lose a customer, it's almost impossible to win them back.

Default Dick's

As a bonus Dick's stock price dropped over 11 percent yesterday.

That is where it hurts them the most

Dick's posted a loss of 6.5% in the equity market this month. Serves them right, and truly sends a message........from US!

Dick's indeed.

I went into our local store when it first opened. Asked the kid behind the counter if they had any reloading supplies. A deer in the headlights look, then the answer: "huh, reloading?"

I walked out, have never been back and never will. There are some excellent LGS' here with folks that know what they're doing. No real need for "Dick's".

Yea, I think they are dying a slow death. They asked for it and are getting it.

Default Dicks

I had a good friend that managed the gun dept in one of the Dicks in Minneapolis. For a time, they had a decent offering of guns and gun related stuff. I bought several guns there in the 90s.
But political correctness and poor decisions changed that and is pulling them under water.
Have not been in a Dicks in 8-10 years. And never will visit them again.
My friend apparently saw the writing on the wall and left them many years ago.

I've been told that Dicks is a great place to buy sports bras and yuppie running shoes. If you have to rely on it as a gun shop, you're in a world of hurt.......

Awhile back I was with a friend who wanted to check Dicks to look at a cheapy rifle he was wanting to buy for his nephew. He looked and ordered it at a local gun shop. While waiting, I noticed some Federal 17 WSM ammo on the shelf at a give-it-away price, so I scooped up all 10 boxes and I bought it. The sales clerk had no clue about what the ammo was but thanked me for being the only buyer for it that that had in over a year.....He thought that maybe it worked in an antique/no longer made rifle......

That was my one excursion into a Dicks. It wil probably be almost 70 years before I go back again........unless I need a sports bra.
