SOLD GreTan CZ 20 VarTarg, New Condition, $1150 Shipped
SOLD GreTan 20VarTarg, Reduced, Like New, Now $1150 Shipped
I have a near-new Greg Tannel smithed 20VarTarg for sale. The only thing saved off the original .223 CZ 527 Varmint was the action and the trigger group. I have the magazine, but I have not tried if for function with 20VT cartridges. The magazine is replaced by the filler that is sold by James Calhoun. I have the original bolt handle. I have the extractor, which is not in the bolt. I tested a few short lots of ammo in this rifle. It has been fired less than 100 times. (The cases offered, delivered in loaded cartridges, are not fire formed.) I owned the original CZ before the work was done and the work is invoiced to me. I am including an option to purchase ammunition components, loaded into cartridges, but sold only as components, at $250 for 300 rounds, packed in plastic boxes. Again, this ammo is sold ONLY AS COMPONENTS (see case specs below, 4198, 32 SBK's) and I will need an email from you stating that your purpose is break it down and reload it. (The case components alone would be more than $250, let alone the gear and time spent forming 20VT from 221FB.) These cases were newly loaded intended for fire forming and shot "lights out" as indicated by the sample target below. Case (formed from Remington Fireball cases) specifications: Trimmed Case Length: 1.395 Necks: Turned to .0115 Loaded Neck Measures: .227 Fired Case Measures: .228 Neck Bushing: Use .226 COAL 32 SBK: 1.520 (to the ogive FA comparator) Rifle ONLY: $1150 Shipped Rifle with 300 rounds 20VT described above: $1400 Scope rings are included. The scope will be available to the buyer, or separately after the rifle sells. The following work was done: 1. 20 Vartarg chamber reaming 2. .229 Neck 3. 1/12 Pac Nor 3 Groove 1/12 Super Match Barrel 24" 4. No Freebore 5. HS Precision Pro Series Varmint PSV091 Stock 6. Skim Bed 7. True Action 8. Spring and Hone Trigger The bolt handle is from Brad at CRT. NOTE: THIS RIFLE REQUIRES TURNED NECKS! If I can learn it, anybody can, but it requires a few dollars investment in neck turning gear if you are new to it. **Or just buy the ammo option, break it down, and your cases are ready to go!! I ship only to verified FFL. Please post an "I'll take it" here and follow up with a PM. Don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. If you've read this far, hurrah for you, you deserve to see some pictures! The slideshow is here: https://ibb.co/album/kDHEJv Last edited by Cy Taylor; 01-27-2018 at 02:21 PM. Reason: Sold |
