Outstanding! Getting the sights re-aligned with crush threads is a bit of a chore.

I've read a couple of posts recently about crush threads on Sako factory barrels - what exactly does this refer to? Does it mean that the threads actually distort somehow when initially tightened up, which then effects any subsequent re-use of the barrel?

Crush is the amount of torque applied to the barrel to keep in from coming apart. Factory barrels are way over 100#, i didnt put that much on this barrel. Figureing how much it was going to turn after hand tight was a challenge. I went past a couple of times therefore the 23" barrel I finely figued out how much it was going to turn an got the front sight on dead top center . This was the first time ive tried this

If you have some AA1680, try it starting at 19.5 and work up. Lil'Gun +/- 16 grs is also usually good. 221FB is one of my favorites, but I am more into 20's these days. BTW, nice rifle - I have a number of Sako rifles.

I have found that RL-7 or AA2200 work great in my 221FB's.

AA2200 and do not overlook the new CFE BLK, it is working very well in the Fireball. Bill K
