Default Hmmm

Here is the same thing in the 223, just not a import aimed at the Mexican market. That straight taper barrel in a 25.6" length is what got my attention, the 223 is a 1-9", nice for the heavies.

CZ's number 03072

Exclamation 222-527-varmint

Hey Doug,

I'm proud for you. And yes, blame it on me to your wife. Hel, I'm 65yo and I've had plenty of my buddy's wife's ticked at me for causing them to buy guns. Like I've said before, If you know how many guns you have, you don't have enough!!!

Kidding aside, you'll love that 222. It's a fantastic and highly accurate cartridge. 222's and 220 Swift's have been my two favorite cartridges for 40 years.

I feel like this is going to be a rifle I regret not buying, but I'm really having a hard time justifying it having already own a heavy barreled 222.

Tackdriver,

I'm already regretting not getting one when I first saw one for $619. I'm in the same boat with you though, I have a great Sako Vixen HB Varmint in 222. But I wish I had got it now.

If I had a heavy barreled Vixen in .222 about the only thing I'd be doing with that CZ is re-barreling it to some .20/.222 wildcat or the other . I'm real fond a CZ's for sure but I'd still pick a Porsche over a Volkswagen if given the chance . It all comes down to pay-grade in the real world don't it?

That Sako Vixen is really sweet. It's a HB Varmint with no sights and a beautiful oiled stock. Your not going to believe this but I bought it brand new in the box from CDNN in Texas somewhere in the early '80,s. I paid $575.00 total for it shipped to me. It still today looks like it was just taken out of the box. Oh BTW, they sent a pair of original Sako medium rings with it.

You are so,so weak!!!
Took all of 10 minutes huh?

Well , you did say if you could find one you'd jump on it.
Hope you won the wood lottery again, but either way I bet it will be a shooter.
Let us know how it cleans up and shoots.

Really, congratulations. Sad day for gophers.

Another one just popped up on GB for $619 but no buy now, it's a true auction and the seller has great feedback. Extremely low starting price. It's listed as a 25.6" barrel. Just saying.
