Default WTB #12 birdshot

I'd like to buy 2 or 3 lbs of #12 birdshot for snake loads in my 45 LC.

Why don't you just use #9, lots easier to find. In the 45LC that should work great. Just a suggestion, Joe

I too use #12 shot and it works wonderfully. I've used #9, #7, #6 and #5 as well and for close in snake control the #12 works best.

The smaller shot reduces the ricochet factor quite a lot as well as better coverage in pellets per sq. inch.

I purchase mine from http://www.ballisticproducts.com/

#9 or #8 work best for the .45 ACP shooting birds from roost. My modern Rook load for the States.

Would you be willing to sell about 2#, I don't need a 10# bag, 2# will most likely last me the rest of my life at the rate I use it. Maybe 20 rounds a year.

Wow. I had forgotten how many pellets were in an ounce of #12 shot.

A number of years ago, I helped a friend with a large starling problem. They were wiping out his garden and pooping on his cars.

I loaded up a couple boxes of 2-3/4" 12g shells with 1-5/8 oz of #9 shot for him. 941 pellets make a pretty impressive pattern. I got 7 of the buggers in one blast. Called those shells my Starling Short Magnums.

I also loaded up a box of 3" mag shells with 1-7/8 oz of #9 shot. 1086 or so pellets. We called them my Starling SuperMags (and clouds of death). My buddy took 11 out of a large/tight flock with one of these shells.

We'd talked about getting some #12 shot and loading up some Starling Daisy Cutters (3858 pellets in 2-3/4" and 4451 pellets in 3"). We'd also briefly discussed loading some 3-1/2" 10g shells with #9's and #12's for his single shot 10g magnum. Never got beyond the talking stage by the time the starling population had been sufficiently reduced.....

Hi Jim!
I found it! (finally) Flip me your address. It may be a couple of days before I get out to the P. O. I'll figure out suitable packaging. Those things are so tiny they want to leak out of any cracks or holes they find!

#12 Shot in my 45 LC and a FC 410 is awesome taking out hornet nest in the summer (w/Speer capsules or making my own wads and using a roll crimp)

Carpenter bees in flight are a little more challenging though!
