Default CZ 527 Old vs. New Trigger?

Does anyone that has had the old (curved) vs. new (straighter) triggers on the CZ 527 have any thoughts on the two? I have had two old 527s with the more curved trigger and were happy with them, and also thought that they looked better, but I have not handled one of the new ones.

Thanks,

Danny

Leopold Scopes, Forester reloading equipment and Victorianox knives.

I video recorded all of my Highpower Rifle matches. Pretty soon I am going to watch them all in reverse order so that I can watch those F Class guys GO HOME and leave us alone so that we can shoot Highpower Rifle.

I have a fair numbers of CZ's and hadn't noticed any difference till you posted this. I didn't feel like taking rifles outta the safe and taking their little silicon treated socks off em but will soon. I currently have a recent purchase in .222 on the bench and it does have a trigger that puts me in mind of an Anschutz target trigger (straighter). Only other CZ I have access to without labor involved is a first year run Model 452 HMR and it's trigger is a lot more curved and a little wider than the .222.
Guess it doesn't bother me too much or I'd a noticed it .

Default both

I have both vintages and can tell no difference in performance, I do like the straighter blade though.

Guess I will find out soon. I just bid on a LH American .223 on Gunbroker, and won. Has an older Denver Redfield on it that I am curious about the optical quality of. The scope appears to be a good size match. I have been looking for a LH Cooper 38, but have not found one, and this rifle came up first. Even if I had found a Cooper, I still would have wanted to get back into a CZ 527. I guess it worked out this way.

I just started looking back at pictures I took on new rifles of the period and a 527 I bought in 2006 had the curved trigger, one I bought on 2008 didn't. Slipped right past me .
I do have to say I agree with Chuck,I think I like the feel of the straighter trigger better by a titch, at the bench anyway.
Man, I gotta pay more attention! Buy the way, did you hear we landed a guy on the moon??

Danny I searched for a used L/H Cooper 38 for years before I found one..........during the search I did purchase a model 22 and a few model 21's. Those L/H 38's are real hard to find used..........Kiwi

Kiwi,
You are very correct about finding LH 38s, and now that you mention it, I am glad that I bought my LH Model 38 22 Hornet Montana Varminter. At the time, I also found a LH 17 Remington Model 21 MV. I went back and forth on which to buy. I am more of a 17 fan, so I almost did not buy the Hornet. It turned out for the best, as the Hornet had fantastic wood, and the 38s have been nearly impossible to find. Later on a LH Model 21 17 Remington Varmint Extreme came along as well as a LH .223 Model 21 Scheels Varminter.

I only wish that I had bought the LH Model 38 22 Hornet Montana Varminter I found on Gunbroker that was consecutively numbered to my Hornet. I justified not buying it based on not wanting another Hornet and that I am not a collector and that the serial number did not matter.

Other than the visual difference I've never found any real improvement one way or the other.

My LGS had a LH CZ527 in .223 for a couple of years with really nice wood, finally sold it as I recall, made me wish I was a lefty a little.

I prefer the curve trigger. I would gladly swap a straight trigger for your old curved trigger.
