The raccoon price dropped quite a bit since November, I know my dad said he averaged $25 on the ones he took in to sell

After a local preditor hunt the buyer paid $40. each for unskinned coyotes. Than a second buyer showed up and said he was paying $60. This was three weeks ago.

15 dollars barely seems worth the trouble of skinning a coyote. I guess if PA gives a 25 dollar bounty its a better deal.

We have been getting $100 to $120 per skinned coyote in MT and $90 for a good red fox.

What part of Montana are you in and where is your fur buyer out of ?

Those prices will at least buy some gas.

I'm over in Miles City.

"In the round" usually means unskinned.

IF you're willing to "put your fur up" properly then sell to the fur auction houses you can get a lot more than that for them.
Anyone messing with it sure needs to subsribe to Trapper N Predator Caller mags. They print the sales prices for each area on just about all furred animals. Prices in this months mag were a LOT higher than listed above thats' for sure. Thing is, put them up and it's work and has to be done right. But, you can ship direct to the auction house's then.

Sure wish I was able I'd like to get back to the coyote calling and trap a few bobcats. Man, just think how far a cat hide would go toward a new rifle at todays prices of $500 to a grand each. Top grade western coyotes bring over $100 they say.

Around Billings and buyer comes down from Winnett. Coyotes from the Highline will bring more money and large prime bobcats can bring up to $1600.
