Default Cow Elk

Got my nice cow elk yesterday at 300 Yds. using the pitiful, ancient 30-06.

Boy, it amaze's me that you could get the job done without a super duper 338 plus magnum, long range scope, long range finder and someone else twisting the dials on your scope, while you were in the prone position and making sure the camera was on you and the Elk. Bill K.

Congrats Doc! Good chow ahead ! Left to my own devices I'll take a cow to a bull every time, it's all about the food.
I hunted elk for many many years and all I used was the mangy old .30-06, kills em as dead as they can possibly be killed .
We are all withholding our final judgement as to the veracity of this dead elk claim tell pictures show up of course .
