Cooper Model 21 19-223....THOUGHTS
I have the opportunity to buy a Cooper Model 21 chambered in 19-223. I know absolutely nothing about this caliber or 19 caliber in general. How difficult is it to find 19 cal bullets and a set of dies?? What do the ballistics of this round compare to? I'm always looking to pick up new Cooper rifles to add to the collection but this one I'm just not so sure of based on the caliber. What's everyone's thoughts?

The one I had was the most accurate Cooper I owned, one of many that I should have never sold. The Calhoon bullets are very good so don't be afraid to jump in as there is no worry about supplies. Good luck.

I have the same caliber in the same Cooper model 21.It has been extremely accurate. Calhoon combined with Cooper is deadly accuracy. If you wanna be different I would say go for it! Otherwise, just go get a Ruger .204, performance is pretty much identical.. I have owned all 3 of Calhoon's 19 cartridges, I love the 19 Badger.

I love mine....
Now that you can get poly tipped bullets for it,I would jump on that Cooper
Back when, I was able to hit pd’s at over 500 yards with the Calhoon hollow points, now that Sierra makes the Blitz King for James I bet the accuracy and energy will be even better. In a worst case scenario you could have Cooper rebarrel to either 20 Tactical or 204 after shooting it a while as a 19-223,but I bet you will fall in love with it as is.Its always great to get another Cooper Matt
