Lee Classic cast?
I have finaly found some time to work on my swaging operation.
Have decided to try Lee Classic cast presses. As it looks now, I can only get hold of breech lock presses. Is this good or bad? Anyone know is the breech lock model is as straight as the "normal" one? //Peter Ericson |

Peter, PM George U., he'd know for sure. I'd think there would be far too much movement in the breech lock or LNL type set ups for swaging.

I've seen the standard Lee Classic ads at Natchez and Graf ,there out there .I use one for loading,it's every bet as good as a RCBS Rock Chucker. Ask Randy Robbinette @ BiB Bullets. He uses them .

Except as a "sales gimmick", I have yet to grasp the need/desire for the breach-lock concept, as opposed to simply purchasing extra thread-reducer (Lee's terminology - Hex-bushing) inserts . . . it doesn't take that long to unscrew the course - 12TPI - thread, and, leaving a die "locked" in one makes for EXACT repeatability. At the bottom of Lee pages
there is a section for "seconds" and cast presses are as low as $85.00... With blemish or chipped paint.. Happy Holidays...
