Default Rockchuck Bonanza

Christensen Arms 22-250 CF Barrel, Remington 700 stripped down and trued, Jewel Trigger, Remington SPS stock bedded and opened up with Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x40. Mirage was so bad could only use 12 power but shots were all under 225 anyway. Load was Hornady 50 Vmax, Nosler Brass, CCI 200 Primer and Varget.

Rock Modern Art!

It's been a good chuck hunting spring for me. The little ones were out last Saturday and we shot 65-70 in 4.5 hours. 55 or so of those were tiny. That puts me up over 200 this spring!

Thought he was safe only peeking out giving only a tiny bit of his head in the woodpile! This big male was playing peek-a-boo with me with some swinging branches and leaves from a weeping willow. Had to time the shot!

Yes! Nothing like a great rock chuck adventure. Great shots, thanks for sharing. I can tell you've done this before....
