Default Saved The Hideaway

A very close call, the people on the other side of the ridge not so lucky. It was only 2.5 mile away when the wind changed & blew it back onto itself,
200,000 acres mostly bush gone. When we ran for our neoghbours place on the river, visability dropped to 30yds in no time at all

Silly bloody dog still finds a qual to point LOL

Johno

Great news Johno, quite a few people were worried about you. What a great dog, knows the important things in life. Hunting that is

Johno,

Glad the fire did not get you. Sorry about your neighbors. Wildfire is one of the scariest events in nature. Be careful.

I still like your dog. Pointing a grasshopper shows an excellent work ethic.

Wow! That has to be a sickening feeling knowing you could lose everything.
Does that sort of thing happen often in your neck of the woods?

Larry its part living here, Ash Wednesday 47 people dies, Black Saturday over 100. Those two fires were absolutely terrifying. This latest one in our area was confined mostly to deep bush land, only a few houses lost
