Default How's JohnO with the fires over his way?

Last I heard he was moving sheep and hoping
for a breather in the heavy smoke and fires
headed his way fast.

Any word from him by anyone?

I got a reply back on January 28th from John. This was his report shown below. By the way, John is really into the 5mm Remington magnum rimfire.

"Hoping to get away next week mate and have some down time, shoot the fireball and 5mm, we are near out of meat so will be looking for a young Sambar deer. Seen a video that a keen deer shooter has just made going through the fire areas he was only focusing on deer, its awful Charlie dead deer with their feet burned and others just barely alive and he could’nt put them down as its national park so no firearms"

Looks like the animals are taking a beating.

Charlie

Really sick and should be criminal, when Authorities will not allow a animal to be put down, rather than suffer and slow painful death. But then those people know what is best for the world and have the control. Bill K

We are ok now, Charlie headed up to the hideaway as I said and got turned around a couple of miles short after a 2 hour drive due to the road again being blocked by another fortunately it rained the night before so it was a matter another for clearing of road.

This is one of the problems with injured animals there simply isnt the access due the roads being cut, most of the photos and video are coming from people who live on the door step of national park and state forest who have access on foot or bike.

The logistics of this thing has been massive, we are just having a little down time at the moment.

Johno

Thanks guys:

Good to hear John's ok.

I'd say hell with the park laws and finish those
suffering animals regardless. Might not have
enough ammo would be the problem.

That was a horrific video to watch - so many deer - and koalas.
