oh, and another tip- Magnetospeed needs to be installed and reinstalled in exactly the same axial distance in relation to the muzzle or your numbers jump around every time you put it on the same rifle, same reason you accurately measure distance (within 1") to a std chrono. Also make sure it doesn't walk forward during recoil and slip a little each shot, this will really throw you off.

Any body tried or has any experience with the "Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph"?

My first and last chronograph, Oehler 35P. Have never felt the need for anything else, have been using it for almost 25 years, including .17 cal. Customer service is top notch, very timely turn around and good communication. Have sent in a couple of times for new printer head, then a broken circuit board or transistor, something like that. Never an issue.

Go with the longer 4 ft rod/screen spacing and the stands come with it. Much better than trying to balance 2 ft rod with 3 screens on top of a tripod with a single point of attachment to hold everything steady and in place.

It may not be the latest wireless, 5G, A.I. or whatever in the technology, but it works well, reliable and durable as long as to you don't shoot the screens or drop the printer unit on the pavement, or some other bone headed user error. In either event, send off and it will be back within a couple of weeks.

All the best,

Michael.

Wow, even more to think about. The Oehler sounds like I should look in that direction.
