Default Welcome aboard Dave....

It’s nice to see new folks come over from the other sites. You will feel like part of an extended family that truly cares for each other. This site is so full of knowledge and good hearted folks, set and stay a spell!
I never really thought of my self as a Hornet guy but just realized I have 5 guns based on the Hornet case.
P.S.I wonder who else noticed Dave’s time stamp, proof he is at the right site
Matt

Welcome. I too am a Hornet fan. 1/12 is the more modern twist, lots are still 1/16. You will have no issues with your twist rate. There are a ton of great Hornet threads on here and on the reloading part of this forum. Should keep you reading for days.

Ive tried a few tests with them, they seem to be very erratic for me. Some small groups then some large groups. Without rhyme or reason. Its work a retry though, I do have quite a few

A 1-12 should even shoot 55 grain bullets. All 3 of mine are 1-12.

Gonna vote for Trump?

Exactly. Both of my 527 CZ .22 Hornets shot 50gr. Hornady Spire Points into 1/2", usually better. They were loaded with 13.0gr. Lil'Gun (Hodgdon's book load) however they ran over 3,000fps, not the 2.700fps Hodgdon listed. This was in RP brass, not the WW brass Hodgdon used.
